Jared FitzGerald is a Seattle-born artist who studied painting and classical archaeology at the University of Washington. Working across media—including ink painting and glazed ceramics—his practice combines naturalistic forms with playful, abstracted figures. Since 2007, FitzGerald has maintained full-time studios in New York City and Jingdezhen, China, and has directed the galleries FitzGerald Fine Arts and Kai Gallery. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Biennale, and is held in the collections of the National Art Museum of China and the Seattle Art Museum.
